Should Election Day be a federal holiday?

Election Day is the Tuesday after the first Monday in November. It is not a federal holiday. H.R. 154 in the 119th Congress, the Election Day Act, would add Election Day to the federal holidays in 5 U.S.C. 6103(a). It was introduced on January 3, 2025.
